MISSION TRIP

Hi! I am so excited to share with you that after months of prayer and seeking God’s will for this ministry we are moving forward. I will be perfectly honest with you, I have struggled in wanting to make sure that this is God’s will and not just another thing to do. It is so important to me to honor God and not do things that He isn’t ordaining. Sometimes we get caught up in serving for the wrong reasons and I did not want Isaiah’s Call to be that! Isaiah’s Call came to me after a time of prayer and through two different things that happened to me to prompt me to exactly this. Other things came up in life and I moved churches and then started worrying that I was doing something outside of the church and how can that be right or useful and so forth. I battled in my own head and I battled with the Lord. Of course He won and I am thankful for that. I was worried that others would think that I was out of line doing something outside of our church family which I love and am excited about serving with. I worried that I couldn’t do this whole thing, even though missions is a passion of mine and leadership is a gift that God instilled in me. I worried that no one would want to be part of it once I agreed to do the mission trip and I would let the people we were going to serve down. You see that right ? Worry, worry, worry! The Bible clearly tells us to NOT worry. So that was a good sign that I was not where I needed to be and so I fasted and asked the Lord to give me His guidance and direction. I spent my day of fasting asking for him to not let me move to the right or left out of his will but to give me the wisdom to see his path and here we are! It is with nervous, excitement- a jittering of my spirit that I announce that we are moving forward. 1 John 5:14 “this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we will have what we asked of him”. What I have asked of him is that He would take this ministry- this idea that I believe he has impressed upon my heart and make it exactly what He desires it to be. I ask that you continue to pray as we plan. Pray for your part in it. Will you participate? Will you be a prayer partner with us? Will you donate funds to make it happen? Will you be part of the training team? Will you just simply share this mission with others? I also ask that you pray a hedge of protection around us all.  I pray that you would pray for God’s will to lead us and that every detail we need to come together to come together in His perfect timing and will. Applications will soon be posted!! I am so excited!

Here I am, send me!

T-Shirt!!

I am so excited!! I created a tshirt and wanted to have it printed for people to purchase and help me promote this awesome new thing that God is doing! Yesterday while in my quiet time, I felt God leading me to stop waiting for something to come together- I don’t even know what I was waiting for- and just get to work. The biggest thing is to get the word out. I searched online and talked to a few people and I may end up getting shirts later on through someone else (if they can do it cheaper) but I found customink has a boost page and what you do is great your shirt and then people can just order and once you reach your goal, they print them. If you don’t reach the goal by the end of the campaign, everyone’s money is returned. I didn’t want to have to collect money and place an order and all that because I just did that for our national conference and it’s a pain! 🙂 So, I did decide to go through them but it is part of a fundraiser. Please do not let that scare you off. I am not raising money for myself. I was able to get the shirts at a decent price and they actually will send some money to me as a fundraiser and I figured I can use that money (which won’t be much) to purchase ink and supplies to print out the literature and mail to different organizations, churches and so forth. It is not about making money at all! I truly just wanted to get a decent shirt and it not cost 20 something dollars each!!  I hope you will consider getting a shirt! We have a goal of 50 shirts to start! If 50 people would wear the shirt and start spreading the news, I think great things can get started!! 🙂 Thank you for your interest and support of this ministry!

Who We Are and What are We About?

where there i hope

Isaiah’s Call is about believing that God will do great things through us because He is faithful. He wants us to be his hands and feet and all we need to do is be willing to say “Here I am. Send Me”.

Isaiah’s Call is a Missions Ministry that will begin in August 2015 organizing and preparing groups to go on short term mission trips. You may just need a little direction to get going in your own town or maybe you need some help of some people to partner with you and help you serve in your community. We will equip groups to serve and we will partner with local churches in order to point those we minister back to a local church for support. We will organizing groups to go into neighborhoods and do Bible Clubs or VBS, we will organize groups to go into areas that folks need help repairing homes or to support organizations and ministries that are serving in a community and simply need volunteers. We will collect and send supplies to areas of need. We will focus on local-stateside missions- but also serve in other countries as we can and are lead to serve.

We are looking for people all over the US to partner with that will share needs in their community or feel led to serve in other places. We will work with families that want to serve as a mission team as well as just groups of people that feel led to serve whether they are currently part of a church or not.

This ministry is based on the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord. That God sent Jesus to die on a cross for the forgiveness of sins and that on the third day He rose again and will return one day. We believe that all who believe that Jesus is the Son of God who was sent to die for our sins and who is God in the flesh and repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord of their lives are saved and are called to serve while we remain here. We are the hands and feet of Jesus and willingly serve others just as he set as an example for us.
